Cookie & Analytics Notice
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, work in comparable ways. This notice describes the cookies and analytics that thehouseofhygiene.org may use.
Types of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep the site secure and working, remember your progress within a course, and support forms and sign-ups. | These are required for the site to function, so they cannot be switched off through our site, but you can block them in your browser. |
| Analytics | Help us understand which courses are used and where people get stuck, in aggregate, so we can improve. If we add an analytics provider we will name it here. | Yes. You can block these through your browser settings or, where offered, an opt-out from the provider. |
| Advertising | None. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. | Not applicable. |
Email and course tools
When you sign up for updates or take a course, our email and hosting providers may set cookies needed to deliver that service, such as keeping you signed in or confirming a subscription. These support functions you have asked for.
How to control cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or clear cookies when you close the browser. Helpful instructions are available in the help section of your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working, such as tracking your progress through a course.
Many browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal. Where required by law, we honor a recognized opt-out preference signal as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Changes to this notice
If we add new cookies or an analytics provider, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will also be reflected in our Privacy Policy.
