These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of thehouseofhygiene.org and the courses and materials offered by The House of Hygiene LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the site or purchasing a course, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Educational purpose, not professional advice
Our courses are educational. They are intended to support the professional development of dental hygienists and other dental professionals. Our content is not a substitute for your own clinical judgment, your employer's protocols, your state practice act, or the advice of a supervising dentist or physician. You are responsible for practicing within your license and scope.
2. Continuing education credit
Our courses are offered as professional development and self-study and do not carry formal continuing education (CE) credit. You are responsible for confirming whether a course meets the requirements of your licensing board before relying on it for credit.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account secure. Certificates of completion are issued based on the name and information you submit, so please enter them correctly.
4. Purchases, access, and membership
Prices are shown at checkout. When you buy an individual course, we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to access it for your own professional learning.
When you join as a member ("Join the House"), you receive ongoing access to our continuing-education course library, the monthly live study club, past recordings, and related member benefits for as long as your membership stays active. Monthly memberships renew automatically each month and annual memberships renew automatically each year, until you cancel. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access through that date. We do not refund the current billing period already in progress, consistent with our Refund Policy.
You may not share, resell, or redistribute course content, membership access, or your account.
5. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
6. Intellectual property
All course content, text, graphics, code, and design on this site are owned by The House of Hygiene LLC or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission, except for your own personal study.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or interfere with its operation.
- Do not share your account or course access with others.
- Do not use our content to mislead others about its source or about CE credit.
8. Disclaimers
The site and courses are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The House of Hygiene LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or courses. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the course at issue.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
